How Christopher Columbus was probably happy discovering new land and even not knowing that in future America and the whole world will remember him and he will become one of the most famous discoverer in the world history. It seems not possible to discover America nowadays but why not trying to breathe new life into neglected piece of land? Do your best not only to discover unexplored corners of found land, but to become the leader of its inhabitants and bring them prosperity and wealth in real time strategy game Forgotten Lands: First Colony.

You are chosen to be a new leader of people who live there. These cute creatures remember old-time peace and prosperity and they hope you’ll return them all this again. Let’s look around the possession. The picture is not pleasant to your eye. It’s clear that all the resources of the land are exhausted from daily use. Your task is to find another place to settle the colony, and this place already exists - the Greensville Islands seems to be the perfect settlement you need for your people.

You’ll start your mission with a single building – Town Hall. Here you can employ manpower - different specialists, such as workers, merchants, scouts and defenders, each with his or her own unique abilities. You will be glad to see how your new land is quickly populated just after several clicks of your mouse. Workers create their units and then build other structures like farms and lumber mills to foster prosperity and production to support your people. With the help of farms your people will bу fed, lumber mill will harvest timber and distributing merchants across your buildings will increase gold production. Enlarge your territory hiring more people to populate these structures.

In Forgotten Lands: First Colony on each level you have to complete all your missions before the time expires. It’s a real challenge and what is good for each level is that you are not limited in what kind of task you should fulfill during your adventure. It is up to you to decide, how to gather the necessary amount of wood, for example. You can choose to build lumber mills for this or to trade gold for wood in a market – your task will be completed in both cases. The main thing is to keep balance: there should be enough food, gold and wood for all citizens.

Forgotten Lands: First Colony is divided into a series of scenarios, the story becomes more complicated as you move from one level to another. First you have rather simple tasks, such as building a farm, recruiting a certain number of workers or upgrading a building. Later you start to do much more interesting things such as sell gems for new property and repair an ancient nautical ship that's crashed on the shore.

Bonus levels are unlocked after completing certain chapters of the game. They give you a great opportunity to be distracted from the main game and additionally give you more hours of addictive game play.

The graphics and sounds are cartoonish a little bit, but this makes the characters so cute and gives pleasant impression from the game itself. Actually visuals perfectly suit to the game's atmosphere, though sometimes animation is rather rigid.

To conclude, Forgotten Lands: First Colony is a unique game if to say about casual content. It's not very usual to see real time strategy make its way to the casual scene in such a perfect way. You shouldn’t spend hours learning how to play, just start playing and enjoy amazing characters, challenging tasks and addicting game play.
