This game starts from the small video about a young couple who have been scared out of their wits by the ghosts. They can’t stay in their cozy house anymore and have just decided to leave it when they heard a doorbell. It was low-rise man who offered his help in laying the spirits. His huge experience in this sphere was unequivocal, so our heroes agreed. But the problem is that no two spirits are alike. However, anything in our world that a spirit comes into contact with will resonate with spectral energy. You can use it to charge special equipment and create a device that can aid our couple in dealing with the spirit. Use so called “Ecto Detecto” to search for the items and don’t dilly dally too much!

The batteries at Ecto Detecto will help you to switch between the list of items to find, inventory and the progress directory where you can see how many task you’ve completed. If you have trouble finding items use hints. But mind that all four light bulbs must be charged to regain a hint. Each scene you will play bonus level where you are supposed to capture ghosts. Click on the monocle to see into the spectral realm. When you’ll see a ghost, click on it three times in 3 different places to capture. To clean the room you have to get all ghosts and find all hidden items. And, of course, you have to solve a puzzle or a riddle each chapter. Some of the items that you’ve found will give you some hints telling you how to solve that riddle and after that you have to search for the secret scene in one of the rooms. After each chapter you will play a mini-game consisting of 3 rounds with main ghost character. In general, Mishap: An Accidental Haunting is rather unusual game and you will certainly enjoy it.
